Feburary 2015 Glossybox - Love Edition

This has to be one of my favourite box designs to date, the white with LOVE in red is super pretty and will be a great storage item in my room.
This month we have a selection of treats perfect for getting us ready for that valentines date you might have lined up. Or you could just use your products to get your self all dolled up for an evening in by yourself watching movies and eating junk food like I will be doing.

Wilkinson Sward
Hydro Silk
This razor has a water-activated Moisturising Serum bar that hydrates your skin for up to 2 hours after shaving, it also has 5 blades to leave your legs silky smooth.
Being a girl who uses disposable razors this is a nice treat to have, I dont know if I could bring myself to buying the replacement blades just because they tend to be a bit pricey but I am looking forward to using this. It comes with a wall holder which I quite nice if you keep the razor in a shower because I would be a bit worried about keeping it on the floor - if its attached to the wall I know I wont stand on it. I actually am saving this is a box until I go to uni so it will be a few months until I can use it but still, excitement.
Full Size = 1 Razor - £9.99

Mineral Eyeshadow - Fifty Shades
A 100% natural, highly pigmented eye shadow that packs a punch. The color is inspired by 'that' film and can be worn in two different ways, either blended over the lid or packed on with a wet brush to intensify the look.
Im not the biggest fan of pigment eye shadows like this, I find them far to messy and unless I really have the time to play around with my makeup and clean up the fall out I don't reach for them especially dark shades like this. The fact that when I opened the eye shadows box I found the pot with eye shadow on it and it hadn't even been opened and had the seal removed scared me about how messy it would be. With all that said I would still like to give this a try, maybe in place of an eye liner.
Full Size = 1.2g - £14.49

Royal Apothic
Tinties Tinted Lip Balm - Coral
A balm inspired by an old apothecary manual is not a celebrity favourite, containing shea butter, and argan, grape seed and almond oil to nourish the lips ... its rumoured that Victoria Beckham is a fan.
I was hesitant about this but I tried it on and feel in love, it feels really moisturising and gives a coral toned your lips but better shade that seems like it will be quite pretty to apply when your running out the door and just want something quick, simple and natural. It smells like coconut and OMG the packaging is just the most stunning thing.
Full Size = 3.4g - $14 (£9.10)

So Susan
Rose Quartet Lip & Cheek Palette
Pretty pinks and bold crimson, this is a versatile palette that will match any mood.
Just pipping the lip balm to the post this is my favourite product in the box.
Although this is super small and Im sure if you used this daily it wouldn't last you more than a few months but that doesnt stop it being a cute and amazing product. You get 4 cheek and lip stains in a bright pink, baby pink, red and nude peach. The bright pink and red look like they will be nice for blushers and all four colors will be really nice for the lips. This seems like the perfect thing to carry in your handbag or take on holiday with you because it is so small and compact.
Full Size = 4g - £8

Repstyle Polish - Crocadily
This cult nail polish brand has taken on a new snakeskin texture with the use of the magnetic cap.
Im really excited to try this out, I never got round to trying out magnetic nail polishes and this crocodile green looks promising.
Full Size = 13ml - £9.99

Happy Valentines day to you all

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers

These are matte finish liquid lipsticks from MUA's Luxe range, they come in a frosted tube and a wide range of colors that they forever seem to be adding to.
For £3 each they well worth the money making them something that every matte lip fan should try. I also find they go down really well as gifts because you are sure to find a shade someone will at least like to try.
Left: Reckless, Right: Funk
These dry to a matte finish really quickly and wear comfortably on the lips because they don't dry out your lips or leave them with a weird stickiness. I find them to be really long lasting and that I only need to slightly touch them up after I have eaten, but that is out of habit than anything.
Although I find the packaging to be a bit to try hard and tacky looking I like that they tried to make it fancy. The applicator is a dough foot applicator, common of these types of things, and I really like it. I find it apply's the product easier and cleaner than I had expected, if you take a bit of time - I'm talking a couple of minutes - to apply it your not going have a mess all around your mouth to clean up.

A perfect mid-tone bright spring/summer pink for paler skin tones.
For some reason I can see Barbie owning clothes in this color pink, if that sways your wanting to buy this.
Personally I don't find this suits me, as much as I love the swatch on my hand I don't feel  the same when it's on my lips. I have quite strong yellow undertones to my skin which I don't think work with this shade of pink, I have had issues in the past with other lippies in this sort of shade.
For me pretty as it is it's a no, but honestly if you have a pale skin tone, with a rosy undertone, this would look stunning.  especially when worn with a mint dress.

This is a darkish red that's perfect for adding some drama to a fall or winter look.
I love this for when I want a really dramatic, dark, strong lip. Because I shy away from, and can't pull off dark purple vampy shades this is great for me because it has the same effect but in my comfort zone of a red.
During this time of year I find myself reaching for this the most because it really tops off the bundled up look, but it is also great for a night out.

Hope this has helped you decided whether or not to try these

Maybelline Color Tattoo's

When these came out they where one of those many recent (Last couple of years) drug store products that took the world by storm.
For me these where never something that I jumped in the deep end with a brought a ton of and still to this day I cant see myself owning every shade like some people do but there are some shades I still want to try. Rather I got one a few months after they came out and 2 more fairly recently.
The shade range is crazy, especially in America where I think there are a load more shades (and collections) but still in England we can get a fair few.
This wide color range means that there are so many different things you can do with them. They can be used as a base for eye shadows, can be worn al over the lid as they are or as liner either along the top or bottom lash line.
As the name "24 hour color tattoo" would suggest these bad boys have some lasting power. A lot of time the hour lasting power statement that products have is somewhat questionable, but let me tell you I don't doubt these last 24 hours. They can be a nightmare to remove and often you are left with some still on your eye and it will be there when you wake up in the morning.

Pink Gold
I know a lot of people are scared to wear pink but this is a surprisingly easy pink to rock.
Its a light baby pink with a lot of gold tone to it because of the shimmer it has. The shine reflects the light to give a really glossy finish making this one of my top go to 'Im too lazy to do a proper eye look' products.
I found this dried up on me a little after about a year of being open so I just mixed it up with a tooth pick and smoothed it back out and now it is as good as new.

Metallic Pomegranate
For a product that has the word metallic in the color name this isn't particularly metallic, or even shimmery. It has a very solid base color of a pomegranate/burgundy with a fine sprinkling of gold sparkle.
I like that this isnt a really bright pomegranate color like I was expecting but rather it is kind of dark, which makes it really wearable - especially in the fall and winter.

On-and-on Bronze
Just like Pink Gold this has that gold shimmer that really reflects the light. This just has such a beautiful effect on the eye when it is worn alone, you can do just a thin layer for a bit of sheen but if you layer some more on for a more bronze color and more shine.
I think this is a makeup bag staple especially if you have a lot of cream shadows. Because obviously this would be a great base for a neutral eye but if you want to do a bright/bold cream shadow on the lid but don't want the harsh line you can use this to blend it out a little into the crease to soften the look.

All of a shadows are super creamy and they just glide on a dream. Unlike other cream shadows I have tried these dry really quickly so you can do liquid/gel liner over them without having to wait ages.
Finally just a word on the packaging, I love it. Its just a simple glass pot with a plastic lid and you can really screw it on tight to keep your shadows creamy for as long as possible - but like I said before they are really easy to bring back to life.

Are there any shades of these you guys would recommend?
